Julianne Mullin
Web & Graphic Design
As a Graphic Designer, Jules’ responsibilities include things like front end web design, information architecture, wire-framing, in-house branding, logo development, and design audits. In addition, she plays a supporting role in sales and provides clients with recommendations and strategies for the saleable aspects of their websites’ design elements.
Jules is multi-talented, with knowledge not only of graphic design, but also of programming and marketing. Impressively, she is self-taught in each of these fields.
For Jules, good design always has an overarching logic to its approach. It is, therefore, her M.O. to design “with intent”. Jules does much more than create pretty pictures; she takes ideas and puts them through commercial rigor to create thoughtful, calculating end results. Self-direction is very important to her creative process, so she loves the autonomy that northStudio allows.
In her spare time, Jules takes any artistic outlet she can find—whether it’s using her creativity in cooking, interior design, or furniture-making. In the past, she has designed clothing as a costume director and has had her own solo art shows (paintings and mixed media works). Her most difficult job to date, though, has been raising teenagers.
“I love typography, so I knew I would really enjoy working with Jules when I found out she (voluntarily) made custom glyphs for a project. Now that's attention to detail!” –René Haché
