Internship Work Experience Program (IWEP) & Co-ops

Are you looking for a job in the internet technology business, but don't have all the skills you need?

Our Internship Program may be just what you need!

Learn how a web development studio works and be exposed to everything we do on a day-to-day basis. At the end of the program you will be job-ready for a position in the web development industry that you choose to pursue.

Our interns learn side by-side under the professional mentorship of our team of designers, drupal developers, programmers, internet marketing, desktop publishing, animation and administration staff. You will work in our Busy Design and Development Studio with the northStudio.com team and become intimately involved in the web development business.  Almost every aspect of our company's business will help create a solid foundation for your growth and success in the Internet Technologies Industry.

This program is a one-of-a-kind, and ONLY offered by northStudio.com

Our interns manage a working portfolio of client work, and work directly with our clients, staff and industry connections, learning the skills they need to be able to succeed in their career. Because northStudio.com is a busy web studio, we occasionally have an overflow of work that we need to contract out.  Successful students who have completed one of our Certificate Programs or Work Experience Programs are first in line for contract work or full and part time employment positions with northStudio.com.

Intern Application

Simon Vreeswijk

I began the Victoria School of Business and Technology Web Designer Certificate Program and 6 month Web Designer Internship in the spring of 2002. I started with absolutely no web design skills and medium computer skills.

After my courses I had developed web design knowledge and graphic design skills but it was the Internship that really made the difference. Working right in the office along side people who have been in the business for years was where I gained the most valuable training. The answers to all of my problems and obstacles took one question to a guy beside or behind me.

After completing my 6 month Web Design Internship I had the knowledge and skill to either get a job in the field or start my own business but I decided to take my training to the next level and enrolled in the Web Application Programming Certificate Program and 6 month Programming Internship. After 3 months of courses I began my Programming Internship, working under the instruction of a programmer with 20 years of experience in the industry. Once again anything I needed to know was one question away. By the end of Internship I had learned enough through the training and my own hard work to be offered a job as a web application programmer and Designer with northStudio.com Inc. I still work here now.
