Pando is an online community where local, sustainability-focused researchers and practitioners can share knowledge, network and collaborate in order to help local communities become more environmentally, socially and economically responsible. While members are informed by pressing global concerns such as climate change, ocean pollution and deforestation, Pando places an emphasis on tools, resources and knowledge-sharing related to local sustainability, such as green building, recycling, land use, waste management and so on.
Pando is a collaboration between the Centre for Sustainable Community Development, the BC Climate Action Secretariat, the Local Environment journal and the Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions, and is funded by a generous grant from the Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions.
