The first-ever official DrupalCon after-party was held at The Field Museum of Natural History. This ticketed event was held in the museum's stately main hall and includeded free access to many of the museum's permanent exhibitions, as well as the opportunity to get up-close and personal with Sue, the Tyrannosaurus rex!
Field Museum Party!!! Okay, let me back up…. The day started with Dries Buytaert, creator of Drupal as the key note speaker. He addressed where Drupal was and where it's going or should I say GROWING!
Once this concluded we were provided lunches sponsored by Google where we got to network with friends we met at the Drupalcon San Fran last year.
Good talks and good eats was followed by an afternoon of sessions. Yes, my brain continues to take on and store a wealth of knowledge from all the amazing speakers.
Although, my brain was in overdrive we were off to the official Drupalcon after party – and was it ever a party! The Chicago Field Museum was the location and words or pictures cannot describe the scene. That's why I've added a video to do the talking. 😉
