It's been a gorgeous week here in Victoria with wall-to-wall sun, including during Canada Day. But a holiday is no reason to slack off on our reading (even though it's okay to take a break!) so here are our favourite digital marketing stories of the week.

First, a report from Experian Marketing Services concludes that "Millennials spend so much time on their smartphones that they account for 41 percent of the total time that Americans spend using smartphones, despite making up just 29 percent of the population." If that's your target market, you MUST be on mobile.

Content strategy isn't something you do just for the sake of it: it needs to have a goal. In most cases, it's to drive revenue. The Content Marketing Institute describes a 4-step process for a B2B content marketing strategy that actually brings clients–and money.

Get a laugh with these hilarious out-of-office emails, courtesy of Hubspot. Our favourite? "If you’re reading this, Doc Brown was unable to make lightning strike the clock tower, and I’m stuck in 1985. I won’t be able to respond to emails or voicemail until 9ish on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012, or until email is invented — whatever comes first."
