In 2008 the Town of Tecumseh needed to update its website and in doing research found that Drupal had many advantages including offering a complete content management system. Our main reasons for upgrading were: to allow staff to update their respective departmental pages; to create a website that was intuitive and simple for the public to navigate; to comply with accessibility requirements; and the addition of new features. I’m going to show a bit of my age here. Initially I was a bit worried about the lack of face-to-face meeting time, which is the business model I’m more familiar with. However, it became quickly clear that your team was very responsive to our requests and suggestions, and that using Basecamp was very effective. My primary contact, Tara, did a great job and I felt that she was always available for questions or suggestions. I’m not exactly sure who did what on the product, but what I’ve seen is a huge step forward for us. The people who have seen the page are very impressed. So the team that worked on the project worked efficiently, quickly, they were very responsive, and developed a product that met our expectations. At ACB Tracking Inc., we needed a website for accountants, investment advisors, and investors that would calculate adjusted cost bases for investments that paid regular tax-deferred income.
